Oh, Yes!
We've all seen the trailers for The Lightening Thief, with oh-so-cute Logan Lerman as the main hero, Percy Jackson. The books are just as good as the movie looks. :D
The Lightening Thief: enter Percy Jackson, an eleven-year-old boy who's been kicked out of every school he's gone to. This strange boy finds out some shocking news- he's a demigod, a half-blood, half-god/half-human. His father is Poseidon. On a quest with his new friends, Grover and Annabeth, they must stop a war between the gods before it's too late. And Percy finds out some important news: you will be betrayed by one who calls you friend...
The Sea of Monsters: Enter Tyson (like the chicken nuggets!), Percy Jackson's strange, homeless friend. Baby-like in emotion and monster-like in size, his only friend is the demi-god son of Poseidon. IN the second installment of the Percy Jackson series, Percy finds out some news that makes him wonder if being Poseidon's son is a blessing or a cruel joke.
The Titan's Curse: Enter quick-tempered Thalia Grace. The Titans are stirring and the satyrs are looking for new demi-gods to bring to camp. Enter Bianca and Nico di Angelo, two new demi-gods. Though parantage is unknown, twelve-year-old Bianca is offered a spot wiht Artemis' HUnters while ten-year-old Nico is left in the Hermes cabin. On a quest to save two important, missing characters, Percy finds out some things about his comrades that he never, ever imagined.
The Battle of The Labyrinth: Enter Rachel Elizabeth Dare, a mortal girl with clear sight. Capturing Percy's attention, she helps him through a tight spot in only the first few chapters. Annabeth finally is granted her own quest, bringing ever-faithful Percy, underground-fearing Grover, and goat-fearing Tyson into the Labyrinth to stop Kronos' army. Running into heart-broken eleven-year-old Nico di Angelo, who's only company is the dead once he summons them with McDonald's and Coke, Percy and Annabeth are happy to welcome him into their group. The boy refuses until he eventually understands the role he will play. After a near-fatal accident, a renewed Percy and a jealous Annabeth set off into the Labyrinth together with a mortal for help. With the help of some unlikely friends, they are almost ready when Kronos' monsters attack...
The Last Olympian: The Prophesy is close. Kronos is going to attack. It may be the final end of Olympus. And almost-sixteen-year-old Percy Jackson has more than just the phrophesy eating away at him. His mind is divided by the drags war and the hopes of peace. His heart is divided by two girls. And there is a spy in their camp. "The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap...One choice marks the end of his days...Olympus to perserve or raze..." Percy wonders if he fought hard all that time just to die in the end. With help from Nico, Percy finds a way to make himself nearly invincible. When the final battle drawls near, and it's one-on-one, Percy against Kronos, one choice could destroy Olympus. One choice that involves betrayal, trust, and death.
